DeleMate started with a laptop I couldn't afford.

I was in my final year, from an arts background, and a MacBook felt impossible. Someone travelling from the US, a person I had never met, brought one for me.

A stranger carried something across the world for me. I kept thinking about that.

Every day people fly with half-empty bags while parcels take slower, more expensive routes to the same city. What if you built something around the trips that are already happening?

That became DeleMate. Senders post what needs to move. Travellers list routes they're already taking. Matching, chat, verification, and delivery confirmation all happen inside the app.

To understand logistics properly, we even took over a courier franchise for a year. Brutal months. Barely slept. Learned more than any course would have taught me.

We launched on the Play Store and App Store and crossed 10,000 users. Seeing my own app on someone else's phone is still one of the proudest moments of my life.

Then reality showed up. The model we'd picked didn't work at scale, no matter how many users we added.

So we stepped back and rebuilt it around same-day deliveries for SMEs.

DeleMate taught me more about building a company than anything else I've worked on.
